create_finder_monitor

Create a LIVE Keepa Product Finder monitor from the same filters as find_products. It runs on the user's OWN Keepa key and sends a Discord alert to webhook_url whenever a NEW product starts matching the filters — the saved/recurring version of find_products.

REQUIRED: a `name` for the monitor and a Discord `webhook_url` (https://…) —
ALWAYS ask the user for their webhook URL; never invent one. The user must
also have their Keepa key connected (call get_keepa_key_status first).

Provide at least one filter (same semantics/units as find_products). This
creates a real, active monitor that will start pinging the webhook — confirm
with the user before creating it. Set active=False to create it paused.

A4.5/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations, the description carries the full load and does it well: it discloses that this consumes the user's OWN Keepa key, fires a Discord alert on each NEW matching product, creates a 'real, active monitor that will start pinging the webhook', and that active=False pauses it. These are the exact side effects an agent must know before writing.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with what the tool does, then required inputs, then the destructive-effect caveat — a sensible order for a write tool. Slightly repetitive (the webhook-URL warning and the confirm-before-creating warning restate the same caution), but every block earns its place for a 25-param mutation.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

No output schema and no annotations, yet the description covers prerequisites, side effects, and the paused-creation escape hatch. It stops short of saying what is returned on success or how to later list/delete these monitors, which matters given sibling monitors have getters while finder monitors do not.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 0% across 25 parameters, so the description should compensate more than it does. It explains name, webhook_url, active, and usefully delegates the whole filter family to find_products ('same semantics/units'), but ~20 filter params (drop_1d, max_bsr, drop_type default BUY_BOX_SHIPPING, marketplace default UK, min_sellers, etc.) get no meaning or units here.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('Create a LIVE Keepa Product Finder monitor') and immediately distinguishes it from the sibling tool by framing it as 'the saved/recurring version of find_products'. An agent can tell this apart from find_products and add_storefront_monitor without opening a schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicit prerequisites and routing: call get_keepa_key_status first, ALWAYS obtain the webhook URL from the user rather than inventing one, confirm before creating, and use active=False to create it paused. It also requires at least one filter, which is the when-to-use condition.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
