Get GEO readiness audit

get_geo_audit
Read-onlyIdempotent

Get a site's latest GEO readiness audit: overall grade/score and the specific findings to fix. The score is a weighted index over the signal checks, not a proportion: scoreBasis states that it carries no confidence interval, and none should be inferred. signals.consistency holds the consistency check, on every plan: six rule checks of the scanned pages against each other (brand name, hreflang links, FAQPage markup against the visible text, offer availability against the page text, the homepage H1's category, page weight), each issue with its URLs and quotes. It is not part of the score.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
siteIdNoOptional on a connected app: the site chosen with select_site is used. If given, it must be that site. With an API key it is required: a site id from list_sites.

TDQS

A3.9/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already cover the safety profile (readOnly, idempotent, non-destructive), yet the description adds substantial non-obvious semantics: the score is a weighted index rather than a proportion, carries no confidence interval and none should be inferred, and signals.consistency is excluded from the score. That prevents a whole class of interpretive errors an agent would otherwise make from the numbers alone.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose is front-loaded in the first clause, and the remaining detail earns its place because no output schema exists. The prose is somewhat dense and comma-spliced in the middle ('scoreBasis states that it carries no confidence interval, and none should be inferred'), but it is not padded.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description correctly spends its budget describing the return shape: score semantics, scoreBasis, and the consistency signal with its six rule checks and per-issue URLs/quotes. It does not mention other signals beyond consistency, nor behavior when no audit exists yet, which keeps it short of complete.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100% and the single siteId parameter is fully documented there, including the connected-app vs API-key distinction, so the schema does the work. The description adds nothing about siteId, leaving the baseline of 3 appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Opens with a specific verb+resource: 'Get a site's latest GEO readiness audit' plus what it returns (overall grade/score and findings to fix). This distinguishes it from score-only siblings like get_visibility_score or get_metrics, though it never explicitly contrasts with get_deep_scan or get_geo_actions, which are the nearest neighbors.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage is only implied: 'the specific findings to fix' suggests calling it when the agent needs remediation guidance, and 'latest' implies no historical query. There is no explicit when-to-use statement, no exclusion, and no named alternative among the 17 siblings (e.g. get_deep_scan, get_geo_actions), so the agent must infer routing.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
