Search AlohaCamp outdoor stays (cabins, glamping, camping)

alohacamp_search

Search alohacamp.com, the Polish marketplace for stays in nature: cabins and houses (domki), tiny houses, treehouses, houseboats, yurts, glamping tents, agritourism, and camping pitches (pola namiotowe, caravan pitches), mostly in Poland. Filter by place (a region like Mazury/Bieszczady/Kaszuby, a city, a country) or voivodeship, check-in/check-out dates and party (with dates, only places free for that party are returned, priced for those nights), property type, amenities, surroundings, nightly price and free cancellation. Returns one page of 30 in AlohaCamp's recommended order; pass a property slug to alohacamp_property for details and exact per-unit prices. Fetched live from alohacamp.com (typically 1–2 s via direct fetch; a few seconds more right after AlohaCamp deploys, or when it falls back to an unblocker). Result shape: { source, fetchedAt, query, search_url, resolved_location, total_count, page, total_pages, count, nights, properties: [...], note? } — the list key is properties; total_count counts matches across all pages (use page for more). Each property: { id, slug, name, url, city, region, country, lat, lng, property_types, units, max_guests, units_for_party, price_per_night, club_price_per_night, total_price_estimate, currency, rating, review_count, image, photos_count, guests_choice, is_new, only_on_alohacamp, free_cancellation, meals_available, meals_included, extra_fees }. Prices are numbers in PLN: price_per_night is the lowest nightly price for the whole party (with dates, the average over those nights; units_for_party > 1 means it covers several units), total_price_estimate = price_per_night × nights (null without dates; fees in extra_fees are paid on top), club_price_per_night is a lower members-only price when there is one. rating is 0–5 (null without reviews). An empty match answers count: 0 with a note saying why and what to change — that is a successful result, not an error.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
pageNoResults page, 1-based (30 per page). Default 1.
petsNoPets travelling along; > 0 also limits results to pet-friendly places. Default 0.
adultsNoAdults. Default 2.
regionNoA whole voivodeship instead of a place, e.g. 'warminsko-mazurskie', 'malopolskie'.
date_toNoCheck-out date, YYYY-MM-DD, after date_from.
infantsNoInfants (babies) — AlohaCamp does not count them toward a unit's capacity. Default 0.
childrenNoChildren. Default 0.
locationNoWhere, resolved by AlohaCamp's own place search: a region ('Mazury', 'Bieszczady', 'Kaszuby', 'Roztocze'), a city ('Zakopane', 'Kraków' — covers the area around it) or a country ('Chorwacja'). Polish names work best. Omit to search everywhere. Not combinable with region.
no_cacheNoForce a fresh fetch and bypass this server's result cache (5 min). Default false.
amenitiesNoMust have all of these: sauna, hot_tub (balia), jacuzzi, pool, fireplace, air_conditioning, grill, campfire, wifi, workspace, washing_machine, playground, crib, adults_only; for campsites electric_hookup, shower, toilet, running_water.
date_fromNoCheck-in date, YYYY-MM-DD, today or later. Pass together with date_to; without dates prices are the lowest 'from' prices and availability is not checked.
price_maxNoMaximum nightly price in PLN.
price_minNoMinimum nightly price in PLN.
surroundingsNoMust be near all of these: forest, lake, mountains, sea, river, nature_reserve, village.
property_typesNoOnly these kinds of stay: 'house' (domek/dom), 'tiny_house', 'tree_house', 'house_on_water' (houseboat), 'yurt', 'glamping_tent', 'agritourism' (agroturystyka/guesthouse), 'hotel', 'camper_rental' (a camper to rent), 'caravan_pitch' (a pitch for your own campervan/caravan), 'tent_pitch' (pole namiotowe). Default: everything except the two camping pitches — pass ['tent_pitch'] or ['caravan_pitch'] to search campsites.
free_cancellationNoOnly places with free cancellation. Default false.

TDQS

A4.5/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations, the description carries the full burden and does so: it discloses live-fetch latency (1–2 s, slower after deploys or on unblocker fallback), a 5-minute cache with a bypass flag, and — critically — that an empty match returns count 0 with an explanatory `note` and is a successful result, not an error. It also explains the price semantics (PLN, party-level lowest nightly price, club price, whether fees are included).

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose and the sibling handoff are front-loaded, which is good, but the second half spends a large block enumerating the full result shape and every property field — content an output schema already provides. The price-semantics sentences earn their place; the exhaustive field list largely does not.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a 16-parameter, zero-required search tool with an output schema, the description covers what an agent needs: scope, filter axes, pagination, latency/caching behavior, price semantics, and empty-result handling. Nothing required to call it correctly or interpret its response is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3; the description adds genuinely new meaning by stating that supplying dates restricts results to places actually free for that party and prices them for those nights, and that prices are PLN party-level values with extra fees on top. It does not add per-parameter detail for most filters (surroundings, amenities, pets), leaving that to the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description opens with a specific verb and resource — 'Search alohacamp.com, the Polish marketplace for stays in nature' — and immediately enumerates the covered property categories, so the agent knows exactly what corpus is searched. It also explicitly distinguishes itself from the sibling by naming alohacamp_property as the detail-lookup path.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It gives the routing rule to the sibling ('pass a property `slug` to alohacamp_property for details and exact per-unit prices') and describes the pagination contract (one page of 30, use `page` for more). It stops short of an explicit 'do not use this tool for X' exclusion, so a small amount is left to inference.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
