Last Price

get_feature_launch_plan

Read-onlyIdempotent

Read one launch kit's plan, for Last Price staff only: its checks, its steps in the order the launch runs them (marking the ones that send something outside Last Price), its go code, and the exact words the owner says to launch it ("go CODE", "go CODE at ", or "go CODE without announcements"). Read only: it never switches, schedules or sends anything; launching needs the owner's go code through the launch command. Needs an API key holding the launches:read scope by name, made by someone who is still Last Price staff, sent as x-api-key or as Authorization: Bearer lp_...; any other credential gets 404. Needs a claimed workspace: a sandbox key from self-registration is refused (403) until a person claims the workspace.

A4.4/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Goes well past the annotations: names the required launches:read scope, the staff-only and claimed-workspace preconditions, the 404 returned for any other credential, and the 403 for sandbox keys from self-registration. It also discloses the three accepted launch-phrase formats and the x-api-key / Bearer transport options.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loads what is returned before the auth and error preconditions, and every clause carries information. The opening sentence is long and heavily parenthetical, but nothing is redundant.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema, and the description compensates by enumerating the returned contents (checks, ordered steps, go code, launch words). Combined with the auth/permission failure modes, an agent has everything needed to call it and interpret failures.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% and the flag parameter is fully described in the schema as 'the release flag the kit launches'. The description adds only the notion that the flag identifies one kit's plan, with no extra syntax or format detail, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('Read one launch kit's plan') and enumerates exactly what the plan contains: checks, ordered steps, outbound-action markers, go code, and the launch phrase. It is clearly distinguishable from list_feature_launches, which returns multiple launches.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly says it is read-only and that it 'never switches, schedules or sends anything', routing actual launching to the launch command and the owner's go code. There is no explicit 'when not to use / use X instead' for the sibling list tool inside the description itself, which only appears in the flag's schema text.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
