Hyreflow

hyreflow_knowledge_import

Add text files from the user's own computer to this workspace's second brain as draft notes in the Imported folder, one note per file, up to 50 files per call. Each file has a name and its content, and may have a kind (icp, persona, offer, pitch, proof, other) and up to 20 tags. A file with no text is skipped, a body over 64 KB is cut and marked truncated, a file already imported with the same name and text is skipped, so resending a call adds nothing, and a note that already exists is left as it is: a slug taken gets a numeric suffix. Send only files the user has seen listed and approved: every member's agent reads the notes. Returns the notes written and the files skipped with a reason. Free.

A4.7/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

The annotations only say it is a non-read-only, non-destructive, open-world write; the description adds what actually happens — 50-file cap, empty files skipped, bodies over 64 KB truncated and marked, duplicate name+text skipped so resends are idempotent, existing notes untouched with numeric slug suffixes, and return of written versus skipped-with-reason. It also discloses multi-member visibility and that the call is free.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with purpose and limits, then edge cases; almost every clause carries information an agent needs. It is a long comma-chained sentence, though, and would read better broken into two or three.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a mutating bulk-import tool with no output schema and no annotation detail, the description covers dedupe/idempotency, truncation, slug collisions, partial-success return shape, and the approval precondition — nothing material is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters5/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 0%, so the description carries the whole burden and does: each file has name and content, an optional kind with all six enum values enumerated, and up to 20 tags. It also supplies the 50-item array limit that the schema caps but does not explain.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource — adding text files from the user's computer into the workspace's second brain as draft notes in the Imported folder. The bulk, per-file granularity and destination folder distinguish it from single-note siblings such as hyreflow_knowledge_write.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives an explicit admissibility rule: send only files the user has seen listed and approved, with the rationale that every member's agent reads the notes. It implies bulk import rather than single-note editing but never names a sibling tool as the alternative.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
