set_cluster_security_report_schedule

Store the cluster's scheduled security report: how often it is emailed (weekly or monthly), to whom (up to 20 addresses) and whether sending is enabled. Enabled requires at least one recipient; disabled keeps the configuration without sending. Replaces the whole schedule. Reversible: store it again or disable it.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
enabledNotrue to send on schedule (the default when omitted, like the REST body), false to store the configuration paused.
frequencyYesweekly or monthly.
cluster_idNoCluster id (UUID). Optional when the conversation is bound to a cluster.
recipientsYesEmail addresses that receive the report, at most 20; at least one when enabled is true.

TDQS

A3.7/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Goes beyond annotations by disclosing that this "Replaces the whole schedule" (a full overwrite, not a merge) and that it is reversible by re-storing or disabling. It also states the cardinality constraint (up to 20 recipients, at least one when enabled). Annotation flags (readOnly=false, destructive=false) are consistent with these and add nothing the description already lacks.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Two sentences, front-loaded with what is stored, then tightening constraints and the reversibility note. Every clause earns its place; minor redundancy with the schema keeps it from a 5.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a 4-param, no-output-schema mutation tool with annotations present, the description supplies the missing mutation semantics (full replacement), constraint rules, and reversibility. It does not explain auth/permission requirements, but nothing an agent needs to invoke it correctly is absent.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents frequency values, the 20-recipient cap, and the enabled-requires-a-recipient rule. The description restates these rather than adding new semantics, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource ("Store the cluster's scheduled security report") plus the three configurable facets (frequency, recipients, enabled). An agent can tell it configures a schedule rather than reading one, but the description never names its obvious siblings (get_cluster_security_report_schedule, send_cluster_security_report_now) to sharpen the distinction.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage is implied by the resource rather than stated: it is clear this configures the recurring schedule, but there is no explicit when-to-use versus get_cluster_security_report_schedule (read) or send_cluster_security_report_now (one-off send). The reversibility note hints at how to undo but not when to pick this over alternatives.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
